Send HDMI® Audio & Video over an Ethernet network to multiple screens

The KanexPro EXT-IPSTREAMKITX1 is an HDMI Over IP Extender set comprised of an encoder and a decoder with PoE (Power-Over Ethernet) support to cost-effectively multicast digital video and audio signals to one or more decoders using 1000Base-T Gigabit Ethernet Network at distances up to 656 feet (or 200m) over CATx cable. It features real-time encoding and decoding in order to broadcast full HD 1080p resolutions and does not require a managed network to operate.

The HDCP compliant transmitter (encoder) unit connects to an HDMI source, and a remote (decoder) unit connects to an HDMI display. They can be connected together to perform a Point-to-Point connection or a Point to multipoint connection via a network switch supporting up to 250 receivers. Easy plug and play connections no complicated network set up required.

Easy Integration

Perfect for distributing digital signage content or other HD video and audio across an Ethernet network. Since the transmitter and receivers install right into your existing LAN infrastructure, integration is stress-free.

Visually Lossless Compression for HD Extension

The EXT-IPSTREAMKITX1 uses MJPEG compression to broadcast high quality video and audio supporting full HD 1080p resolutions. It also packetizes signals and multicasts the AV signals, so all your HD source content can be delivered anywhere you want over Ethernet cabling without any loss in quality or compression.

Countless Ways to Connect

Point to point or point to multi-point configurations, connect up to 250 receivers to your remote screens by sending HDCP content from one transmitter to multiple screens like a DA.

      Helpful Tips & Recommendations:

      • Solid core CAT5e/6 or greater with TIA/ EIA-568B crimp pattern
      • Do not share ground connection with display
      • Shielded CAT5/6 with metal RJ-45 connectors are recommended to safeguard against random video flashes caused by electromagnetic interference (EMI).
      • If the power LED indicator on the Tx/Rx unit is not on, check to make sure that the CAT5/6 cables are not crossed i.e., Ethernet to Link instead of Ethernet to Ethernet.

Note: The Extender kit does not come with an AC adaptor, since power will be provided from LAN switch supporting PoE. Additional power suppy part # EXT-PSU1
